(1) make sure you're using Google Chrome as the browser (or Opera)

(2) verify what modes are enabled with the YubiKey NEO Manager. If U2F isn't listed on the Change connection mode button, click the button and select U2F if it's available. If it's not available, most likely the key was custom programmed for the customer with only certain modes enabled (enterprises can request the YubiKey 4 with only OTP enabled, for example).

Hello,

I obtained my YubiKey 4 from someone else, and while it appears to work for OTP (I have it working with LastPass and the Yubico support site) I cannot seem to get it to work with U2F authentication. The demo site, Google, DropBox all fail to discover a security key. The Neo Manager reads "U2F/FIDO not supported", and Neo Manager does not give me an option to enable it. I only see OTP and CCID as options there. The personalization tool clearly indicates it to support U2F as does the Yubico site documentation.

OS: Macos Sierra 10.12.5
Browser: Chrome Version 58.0.3029.110 (64-bit)

Neo Manager Version: 1.4.0
Personalization tool reports firmware version 4.3.3
