To achieve the above, YubiKeys must be configured with the same credentials. Re-program your YubiKeys as per the following steps.

1) Log in to the Password safe database (possibly with static password)

2) Please navigate to the 'Manage' >> 'YubiKey' menu.

3) 'YubiKey Configuration' window will pop-up.

4) Click on the 'Generate' button to generate the YubiKey Secrete Key (20 bytes hex).

5) Click on the 'Show' button to read the secrete key and take a backup of the secrete key.

6) Click on the 'Set YubiKey' button to program the YubiKey.

7) Now remove the YubiKey from USB slot and connect other YubiKey.

8) Verify the secrete key and click again on the 'Set YubiKey' button to program the other YubiKey.

After re-programming both the YubiKeys with same credentials, set the 'Safe Combination' with YubiKey credentials in Challenge-Response mode.

Password Safe + Primary/Backup Yubikeys

Hello all,

I just received my keys configured for Password Safe use, and wanted to make sure that I can use the backup one in case I lose the first one (or simply have permanently one at home and another at work). Configuring a database with the primary one works, but when I try using the backup one, authentication fails. What step am I missing?

TIA for any help!
