For the security and experience of our user community, we have decided to set the forum as read-only and wipe all user account information. All historical posts and announcements will be archived and remain publicly searchable.

In 2018, we will be publishing a searchable knowledge-base system that allows the community to provide direct feedback on articles and make suggestions that will be reviewed by Yubico staff. We sincerely appreciate the participation of our user forum over the years and hope to continue serving your for years to come.
Statistics: Posted by Tom2 — Tue Jan 30, 2018 9:26 am

Hi Hillary,

Welcome to the forum, and thanks for the heads up-- I'll forward this to the appropriate team.

Are you aware that Salesforce has recently added native Universal Second Factor support?
As a quick introduction, U2F is an open authentication standard that provides built-in phishing and Man in the Middle protections (not found in OTP implementations) while simultaneously providing your end users a simple to use (and set up!) means of 2 factor authentication.

As a co-developer of the protocol, Yubico supports U2F with all of its YubiKey 4 and YubiKey NEO form factors
In other words, you can accomplish highly effective two-factor authentication without needing to install a third party Salesforce application.

Here's a link to our internal knowledge base explaining how to get started
https://www.yubico.com/support/knowledg ... istrators/

Here's a link to a recorded webinar we held with Salesforce talking about the U2F integration.
If you're curious about what the login flow/administration looks like, I'd suggest giving this a watch
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Krlq0L3Ud7M

Let me know if this helps!
Statistics: Posted by cStreeks — Tue Nov 29, 2016 5:43 pm

If you're asking about the login experience for users once this is added to your organization's Salesforce account, no, they won't need to install anything. Personally, I'd wait a bit longer as U2F will soon be supported for Salesforce login (within the next 1-2 months).
Statistics: Posted by ChrisHalos — Tue Oct 04, 2016 4:07 pm

I would like to use the "YubiKey for Salesforce".

The manual "YubiKey for Salesforce - Admin Guide" in page 9 is described as following; "Download the latest version of the YubiKey for Salesforce application from the Salesforce AppExchange website for the operating system you are using."

In my understanding for using AppExchange application, any software is not neccessary to be downloaded to my PC. [BUG] Salesforce communities external user (having delegated administrator rights) gets error when trying to manage Yubikeys for other communities users

Our customer who needs a Salesforce communities portal would like to manage Yubikeys for his employees. Currently Salesforce is showing below copy pasted error to the user and attached exception log when the delegated administrator clicks on the link "Manage Yubikeys" for other users. The same page works well with his own user. Most probably the problem should have been inside the Apex controller class PersonalKeyManagementController.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Error in the page:
Error: Error occurred while loading a Visualforce page.

Please email us if you need to get in touch.

-------------------------------------------------------------
Statistics: Posted by bhaanu — Tue Mar 08, 2016 12:48 pm

We have 4 options here, try them in order

(1) Uninstall ALL entries in Device Manager for the NEO.

*If you have U2F enabled, you should see Human Interface Devices > HID-compliant device.
*If you have OTP enabled, you should see Keyboards > HID Keyboard Device.
*If you have CCID enabled, you should see Smart card readers > Microsoft Usbccid Smartcard Reader (WUDF), and Smart cards > Identity Device (NIST SP 800-73 [PIV]).

After all are removed, either "Scan new hardware" or remove the NEO and re-insert.

(2) Uninstall all entries under Universal Serial Bus controllers, and then restart. These will typically be reloaded when you restart.

(3) Use the Intel Driver Update Utility (assuming you are Intel-based), and restart after all drivers are updated. Alternatively, you can download the USB and Chipset drivers from your manufacturer's support website and install.

(4) On Windows 10 if on build 10.0.10240 updating to Windows 10 1511 build 10.0.10586 corrected the issue. You can simply open a cmd prompt and view the system build number at top.

(5) Re-install Windows.

WINDOWS 10
Win 10 - YK4.PNG

NEO
1.PNG

EDGE
2.PNG
Statistics: Posted by Tom2 — Thu Oct 08, 2015 8:23 am
