The card is ejected when using HID mode features such as OTP or U2F.

If you want just to use the CCID mode, use the Yubikey NEO manager and set the YubiKey to CCID only. I understand the annoyance your are experiencing, but this is by design when using the device in "combo" mode.

I set up my YubiKey for smartcard login on my windows machine and turned removal policy on, so when i disconnect my smart card (would it be yubikey or my national identity card) it logs me off.

So, when i leave my computer, i'll take my yubikey with me and my workstation automatically locks.

But for some apparent reason it reconnects when using slots via button(yubikey otp and static password in my case) and that locks my workstation.
Also this windows device connection sound gets annoying with time..

Is it a feature, hard/software constraint or a bug?

Can i disable this behavior somehow?

EDIT: Just to clarify i'm using Yubikey Neo with 3.4.3 firmware in OTP+U2F+CCID mode
