Is this issue resolved. I'm having the same problem with Personalization Tool.

I have the same issue, but I found that it really is permission related as I was able to run the application and access the Yubikey for personalization/customization if I ran it as root. Interestingly enough, running it via sudo still didn't cut it. That is a bit disconcerting and makes me wonder why root-level access was needed and I'll have to look at logs to see what accesses are being attempted and failing if at all possible.

I downloaded the tool directly from Yubico's site as the binary.
Installation package md5sum: 7235e106ea74c51bed4aaacbeadd6830
Version: 3.1.20
Library Version: 1.17.1

My OS Version: OS X 10.10.4

See screenshot for errors I encountered before attempting to run the tool with root.

Could you elaborate a bit more?

- version of the tool
- version of the OS

where you downloaded it from?

screenshot ? do you have the latest version ?

Hi,

when I launch the personalisation tool in OSX it runs and asks me to insert the key. When i insert the key is says "unknown error occurred".

It works in windows (ran windows in parallels vm on the same machine).

I've tried launching it with "sudo .." in terminal as some pages on the internet have advised but the process stops straight away, i never see a window.
