We have updated our web site and web store to include the information that the YubiKey NEO in pre-production does not support static password. Thank you for highlighting this to us so we could improve the information.

I got a Yubikey NEO today. I am trying to set a static password but unfortunately without much success. I have defined a 16 chars password length (since the firmware is 2.1.7). Here are 3 generated password:

bhcicjbfcicjcfcicjbfblcjbfblbhcf hkfhgllvcjjblrtveddnuebeketblrje
bhcicjbfcicjcfcicjbfblcjbfblbhcf kfgnjjngigtjcgtvlfrknivhifjrrrvg
bhcicjbfcicjcfcicjbfblcjbfblbhcf rivlhcvnntdbrvrkcbcjftblfvlrngkh

I have also used a 16 chars scan code password. Here is what I get

bgcjbgjtlcjijkcjcfcikucvcilhlbbbuhetbecjktbvfcnfkejrkecdijdffiju
bgcjbgjtlcjijkcjcfcikucvcilhlbbbcecchuviukjhvdjbkgbujkecfrruvjgl

Again, only the 1st 32 chars are fixed. I am using the personalization tool under mac os x. (I have also tried the original windows personalization tool as well the command line version).

How can I have a unique and fixed static password? For now, no matter what I keep having an otp part.
