Hello,

You can only back up a Yubikey at configuration time.

The personalization tools, lets you save in CSV format when you hit the button "write" the configuration. You can then copy the same parameters into a new Yubikey.

Once the settings have been written into a Yubikey you wont be able to extract them to back it up.

---> this implies you cannot backup the default configuration on slot 1, starting with CCCC....
Statistics: Posted by Tom — Tue Nov 11, 2014 9:17 am

I am hoping to establish a best practice for my Yubikey.

I have set up the OTP in several critical places that, would I misplace the key, I would be in for a difficult (but not impossible) time.

Is there a recommended way to backup my OTP keys that, were I to need to restore it back to the same (or different) key, it would work without further interaction to my servers and websites?
Statistics: Posted by hackmaster — Mon Nov 10, 2014 10:58 pm
