I got it to work, the problem was my laptop had another internal USB security card slot that was malfunctioning (non-supported drivers), which caused pcscd to hang/exit whenever I inserted the Yubikey.
Statistics: Posted by roqvist — Wed Dec 03, 2014 12:06 am

I'm running Ubuntu 14.04 and cannot get my NEO to identify as a smart card. Keyboard emulation works (I can insert OTP strings by clicking the button) but the Yubico Authenticator does not work, and the NEO Manager application partly works - it shows the basic information about the device and I can change connection modes, but I do not see any installed scripts.

Code:

ykneomgr -ld
SCardEstablishContext 2148532253
error: ykneomgr_init (-4): Backend error

I tried in various modes (like m82), without success. It is identified correctly on my Windows machine, where I can fully use the NEO Manager and Yubico Authenticator apps.

Any ideas?
Statistics: Posted by roqvist — Tue Dec 02, 2014 11:18 am
