Okay, my posting this was apparently premature. I just got it working. I uninstalled GnuPG and instead installed Gpg4win from http://www.gpg4win.org/

Apparently it installs an older version of GnuPG (v2.0.26) with the latest version (as of me typeing this) of Gpg4win (v2.2.3)

It also installed Kleopatra which is used in the Tutorial https://www.yubico.com/2012/12/yubikey-neo-openpgp/

Looks like I'm good to go here. Hopefully this helps out anyone else who sees that error.
Statistics: Posted by CNUSubie07 — Tue Jan 20, 2015 6:42 pm

I recently picked up a Yubikey Neo and decided to try setting up the PGP Encryption Certificates. I was following these instructions:

https://www.yubico.com/2012/12/yubikey-neo-openpgp/

Everything was going great until it tried actually generating the keys.

Operating System: Windows 8.1
Yubikey Neo Firmware: 3.3
GnuPG Version: 2.1.1

I hit "o" on the keyboard and it sat there generting keys, yubikey was blinking. Then it dropped the following message on the screen:

Key generation failed: Not supported

At this point I ran "gpg --card-status" to see what it accomplished (if anything). It now shows a signature key, and an authentication key, but no encryption key. Perhaps this is where it failed?

Any ideas what is going on here?
Statistics: Posted by CNUSubie07 — Tue Jan 20, 2015 6:10 pm
