Appearantly this has been resolved by Yubico support. The solutions were (1) add missing udev rule on Ubuntu and (2) reinstall drivers on Windows (deleting the Edge from device manager and letting Windows rediscover it).
Statistics: Posted by henrik — Wed May 20, 2015 3:35 pm

Please also try to switch the mode from OTP+U2F to U2F only using YubiKey Neo Manager (despite the name, it also works with YubiKey Edge).
Statistics: Posted by henrik — Wed May 20, 2015 3:04 pm

I just tried a YubiKey Edge with firmware version 4.1.1 and could successfully use it on Ubuntu and Windows 8.1.

Did you follow the instructions below on your Ubuntu box?

Quote:

Go to https://github.com/Yubico/libu2f-host/b ... -u2f.rules and
download or create a copy of thefile named 70-u2f.rules into the Linux directory: /etc/udev/rules.d/
If this file is already there, ensure that the content looks like exactly the one provided on github.com/Yubico (link above)
Save your file, and then reboot your system.

Statistics: Posted by henrik — Wed May 20, 2015 2:41 pm

I currently have 2 Edge keys registered with my Google accounts which work fine on my Mac and Chromebook. However, they do not work on my Windows 7 or Ubuntu machines. Upon being prompted, I insert my key and immediately get 3 quick lights followed by an retry error in the Chrome browser. Note that the same 2 Windows 7 and Ubuntu machines work fine with my YubiKey U2F(blue) only keys. I have not altered any settings for either Edge key. I'm stumped.
Statistics: Posted by deldridge — Thu May 14, 2015 1:30 am
