SOLVED by reimporting my GPG keys to Keychain (I found a second backup of them that worked) and then resetting the applet on my Yubikey and reimporting the keys onto the Yubikey.

Now working perfectly
Statistics: Posted by teoclaid — Tue Oct 03, 2017 4:24 pm

Today I updated both GPGTools and MacOS to 2017.1 and High Sierra respectively.

Part of the story is here (https://gpgtools.tenderapp.com/discussi ... -card-edit) where we are trying to work out how to get Mail to recognise the GPG keys on our yubikeys after the upgrade.

My issue now is that after disabling and then reenabling CCID, Mail finally saw my yubikey, asked me to "unlock the card" and requested my PIN - but it would not accept my Yubikey PIN (I even used 'show typing' to make sure it wasn't a typo, and the PIN still works for login etc). I am now down to 0 attempts remaining...

(I don't have a PUK because of the way the key was setup with PIV manager.)

Can anyone help please?

[in the meantime if anyone can tell me how to get my full GPG keys back onto the Mac while the yubikey/gpgtools issue is resolved that would be helpful too - I urgently need to be able to decrypt some work files!]

thanks in advance
Teoclaid

---UPDATE 03/10/2017---
Not sure this issue is solved yet, so not closing this ticket. But in trying to solve this myself I've run into another problem: viewtopic.php?f=35&t=2740
Statistics: Posted by teoclaid — Mon Oct 02, 2017 8:40 pm
