We can only add a VIP credential at the time of manufacture. So unfortunately, to get a VIP credential in a YubiKey, you have to get a new key.

The VIP YubiKey comes with a Symantec VIP credential in slot 1 and slot 2 configuration is left blank. You can program slot 2 in YubiKey OTP mode using one of the Personalization Tools available at http://www.yubico.com/personalization-tool and upload the AES key and other details to YubiCloud servers (see http://www.yubico.com/aes-key-upload ) and use slot 2 output with services like LastPass.

Is it possible to change my YubiKey to a VIP YubiKey?

I read here that the VIP key can be programed to also work with LastPass. Will this work in reverse or do I need to purchase a VIP key (replacing the key I purchased with LastPass)? :(

:idea: It would be great :D if you offered a combination key (programed with the VIP & standard configs) If you have one that I did not see... pls excuse me.
