I just purchased 2 Yubikeys and love the possibilities that they offer.

However, Using the 2.2.0 version of the Windows version of the Yubikey Configuration Utility, I'm unable to remove the second applied configuration from one of my keys, by way of the "Remove an existing Yubikey configuration". When I run a test on my key, using the "Check the Yubikey type and firmware version", it states that I have "Configured: Configs 1+2 valid". The functionality of the "Long-Press" is a randomly generated 32 character string.

I can configure and reconfigure either or both of the configs with expected results; I just can't clear the configs (I've also tried clearing both) to re-instate the initial "single press and get my string immediately" as it was out of the box.

This doesn't affect my ability to use the Yubikey, but would like to know if this is normal operation or a bug of some kind.

The firmware version on this particular key is 2.2.1.

Thank you for your insights and/or experiences and/or solutions.
Statistics: Posted by ancientwitness — Tue Nov 02, 2010 8:33 pm
