We are experiencing problems with the Yubikey authentication feature. On Windows 8.1 computers when trying to logon to windows, the following error is displayed:
This smart card could not be used. Additional details may be available in the system even log. Please report this error to your administrator
Checking the Event Viewer the following event is logged:
An error occurred while signing a message using the inserted smart card: An unexpected card error has occurred.
EventID:7.
I read an old post in this forum posted by an user reporting the same symptoms but in Windows 10 OS, Microsoft uploaded HotPatch - KB3216755 which is only for Windows 10.
The cerficate creation process goes smoothly, and I don't see errors on certutil -scinfo command output.
Hope you can show me light on this.
