Now things are starting to roll. Ykneomgr gives and error but I can use opensc-tools to print details from the card.

I ordered the yubikey with the PIV applet, it has version 2.3.0 installed according to the personalization tool.

I've downloaded the releases for the PIV Tool and the ykneomgr library. I tried to run ykneomgr to verify the applets, but it fails:

error: ykneomgr_discover (-4): Backend error


The piv-tool and opensc commands give errors like no Smart Card readers are found.

I've downloaded gpshell and just running the get_data.txt file and get an error that there are no smart card readers installed.

I've read about changing the mode from 1 to 81 (or other values). Where do I start doing that? It feels like the yubi neo is an HID device now and I need to change it to emulate CCID?

I'm not a GP developer, I'm barely familiar with the terms except for HSM integrations: just following scripts and walking through with professional services on the phone. I'm familiar with PIV usage, but not at a GP level.
