The last few days I have been working on a phpbb mod to do this, and with some more standard phpbb mod documentation because the above instructions weren't really to my specifications. You can find more information about it on the phpbb forums at http://www.phpbb.com/community/viewtopic.php?f=70&t=2097870
Statistics: Posted by modelrockettier — Sat Jul 17, 2010 8:38 am

Any chance of getting more detailed instructions on which files are modified and where? Or possibly a copy of the files used on this forum? I would like to allow yubikey access to my forum but it doesnt work when using the instructions on the google group page.

Andrew
Statistics: Posted by akitchens — Wed Jan 14, 2009 7:11 pm

Paul,

Using the Yubikey to log in and register into the forums is a great idea. Using the Yubikey as a log-in device is extremely handy. Instead of remebering which username and password I used for this forum, I simply touch a button, and I am logged in. Usability doesn't get much simpler than that.

Also, with this ease of use, I get added security. No password I can think of can rival the OTP generated by the Yubikey. This tiny little device gives me all the security I need online. I with more places would implement this feature. Using this Yubikey has really made browsing the web easier, faster, and more secure.
Statistics: Posted by Vadvagool — Thu Jul 24, 2008 8:35 am

Hi, folks, here is the code that allow phpbb forum members to use Yubikey to register and log in.

http://code.google.com/p/yforum/

I'm wondering if anyone knows how to package that into an optional auth module that the admin can just configure instead of changing the code.

Thanks for comments

Statistics: Posted by paul — Tue Jul 22, 2008 1:00 am
