If the YubiKey you receive looks used, it's quite possible it is used. I would return to Amazon selecting "damaged / not working" as the reason for return. I have seen some customers received used YubiKeys from Amazon. Unfortunately with Amazon fulfillment, even though they are supposed to ship us back the YubiKeys that are returned (for any reason), some of them still make it out to customers.

Luckily the return process on Amazon is fast and easy and can be done without cost within 30 days of purchase.

Hey there,
so I just got my first YubiKey, ordered at Amazon. The problem is, that it looks used (fingerprints, tape).
I reprogrammed slot 1 and programmed slot 2, so I think that I might be safe.

Is there anything I might have missed while doing that?
