I had the same problem with YubiKey 4. The command "yubico-piv-tool -a status" just worked after I executed "opensc-tool -l". Strange, but worked.
Statistics: Posted by marcoshalano — Sat Jul 16, 2016 2:55 am

joni1101 and TimR, could you both try running the command line tool "yubico-piv-tool" with the following options and post the output?

yubico-piv-tool -v -a status

The tool comes with the PIV Manager, so you should already have it installed.
Statistics: Posted by dain — Thu Jan 21, 2016 11:25 am

Same issue here, on windows 10. Tried disabling laptop's internal card reader, didn't help. Personalization Tool still says "No Yubikey Inserted". Neo manager sees it fine, and I was able to OTP into this forum. The software is up to date.
Statistics: Posted by TimR — Sun Dec 20, 2015 4:19 pm

Theres a bug in the PIV Manager when no "Card reader name" has been entered into the settings page (this is the default). Instead of using the default value of "Yubikey", which matches Yubikeys with CCID enabled, it uses an empty string "", which matches any CCID card reader. A workaround for now is to enter "Yubikey" in the settings. A new version of the PIV Manager that fixes this will be out shortly.
Statistics: Posted by dain — Fri May 08, 2015 9:02 am
