[SOLVED] YubiKey NEO OATH-HOTP over NFC

Hi,

I have enabled OATH-HOTP on slot 2 of my YubiKey NEO (firmware v. 3.1.2) and kept the the default Yubico OTP in slot 1.
Using both the Yubico OTP slot and the OATH-HOTP slot for different purposes.

All of the above was done by first changing key mode with "YubiKey NEO Manager" (Application v. 1.3.0, libykneomgr 0.1.7, ykpers v. 1.17.1) and then making the above described changes with "YubiKey Personalization Tool" (Application v. 3.2.23, Library v. 1.17.2).

Tried installing YubiChallenge (even though I'm not using a challenge-response, worth a try) on Android to select the slot to use with NFC but it doesn't seem to have any effect, so I switched the slots so the Yubico OTP is now on slot 2 and the OATH-HOTP is on slot 1.
The problem I'm now seeing is that even though I've switched slots, the switch isn't taking effect with NFC but it is when connected to a PC with USB.
I have tried switching slots back and forth several times, and it shows as expected when connected to a PC with USB but still only the Yubico OTP is available with NFC.

I did find the post below, however it doesn't really answer the actual question regarding OATH-HOTP.
viewtopic.php?f=26&t=1686&hilit=neo+hotp+nfc

What should I do to be able to use OATH-HOTP with NFC but still retain the Yubico OTP on the other slot, as I'm using both?

Any help will be much appreciated.

Thanks.
Statistics: Posted by piughsfdk — Tue Nov 17, 2015 12:32 am
