I experience a problem using the script from kg.yubico.com, while the one from keygeni.us is working.
I red that on first use per browser session i should enter the main password, but there is no field to enter it. I suppose it should show up.
Statistics: Posted by Zaurak — Thu Jan 07, 2010 10:32 pm

In the wake of the Yubikey 2.0 release I've been working on some new features for KeyGenius, mainly two-factor authentication. This requires that you create an account, giving out a little more information than before (namely an e-mail address that will be used as your username), but with the benefit of increased security and functionality.

If you wish to continue using KeyGenius without the new features you may continue as you currently do, but if you upgrade to an Account (which is free) you get the following:

Two-factor authentication
By creating an Account you set a master password for KeyGenius, which you will then be queried for the first time you use KeyGenius per browser session. This ensures that your passwords are safe in the event that you should ever lose your Yubikey, as anyone who finds your Yubikey wouldn't be able to access KeyGenius without that password. You will not be required to enter this password each time you use KeyGenius, only once until you close your browser or manually log out using the KeyGenius Account page.

Import/Export your stored passwords
When logged in to your account, you have the option of exporting all your stored passwords to a CSV file, which you can store somewhere as a backup. You can also import passwords into KeyGenius from a previously saved CSV file.

Changing associated Yubikey
If your Yubikey is lost or broken, you can change which Yubikey is used for you KeyGenius Account.

Account password reset
If you were to forget your master password, you can have it reset and sent to your supplied e-mail account

E-mail verification
For any action that changes your Account settings such as changing Yubikey or closing your Account, you will be required to click on a confirmation link that is sent to your e-mail account, this further protects you from malicious activity.

So what are you waiting for? Go create an account now!
Statistics: Posted by dain — Sun Aug 23, 2009 7:52 pm
