We have GNU/Linux libraries that can program the YubiKey with new AES keys, see:

http://code.google.com/p/yubikey-personalization/
http://code.google.com/p/yubikey-core/

There is no official release yet, but it should be stable. Let us know if you run into problems!

/Simon
Statistics: Posted by Simon — Thu Nov 27, 2008 11:52 am

The source for Windows config tool is available there:

http://code.google.com/p/yubikeytoolwin/

But this version has some known USB-related bugs. We will release a more robust version soon this month.

Cheers
Statistics: Posted by paul — Tue Nov 04, 2008 6:49 pm

All,

First, I work for Red Hat. Second, we bought some stuff from Netscape long ago, including hardware token support code that we put under GPL and make available in our directory server and FreeIPA projects.

Now I would like to add the yubikey to that toolchain, so I want to be able to write the AES key etc. Hence my question - is the source of the windows tool available so we can start porting it to Linux? Or is this maybe already being done?

Jan
Statistics: Posted by jwildeboer — Sat Nov 01, 2008 11:14 am
