Some VPN do not support password+OTP length.

Try with a password 3 characters long, if it work then probably that is the problem. I am aware that windows VPN have this issue, but with OpenVpn it worked with a longer password if i recall correctly.

has somebody connected SSL VPN Fortigate (FW 4.0MR3 latest patch level) to YubiRadius back end?
We are facing problems with the topic, the authentication is not working correctly.
If we set a temporary password (which is a little bit shorter ;-)) to the user in Yubi, the authentication in FGT works.

Can Fortigate cause the problem truncating the long password consisting of the user password and of Yubi OTP?

Any suggestions are appreciated.
