The NEO is a Standard Yubikey with Smartcard and NFC capabilities.

Therefore 2 configuration slot like the Yubikey

NEO+VIP is not going to be released in the very near future

it seems neos are back in stock, any word on a vip+neo hybrid? also does the neo have 1 config slot for usb and one for NDEF or more?

Yes, if it is compatible.

You need the personalization tool and configure the NDEF part to emit configuration slot number 1 (if you have the Yubico OTP there)

Im wondering if it can work just like my old yubikey USB but without having it to be plugged in to the USB port.

currently on the pc Im using it in OTP mode for google, lastpass, and Rohos Logon Key
