Hello,

Open a text file and try:

For slot 1, touch the Yubikey like you would press any button. It should easily trigger the OTP with 0.5 second 1.5 second touch. It should be very natural.

For slot 2, in 2.2 key yes. It is a bit more tricky as you have a shorter window to release the configuration.

This changed in the latest firmware and now you can emit the second configuration pressing the key for 3 or more seconds.
Statistics: Posted by Tom — Tue Apr 02, 2013 10:06 am

Hello,

I just configured slot 2 to produce a static password alongside slot 1 which is configured as Yubico OTP. It seems that to use slot 2, I have to press the button exactly 2-3 seconds and to use slot 1, 0-1 seconds. If the button is pressed 1-2 seconds or over 3 seconds, the light just blinks for a while and there's no output from the key. This makes using slot 2 unnecessary hard (also, is this documented somewhere?).

Is this by design, or by bad design?

Yubikey firmware version 2.2.3, Personalization Tool 3.1.5.
Statistics: Posted by foxzilla — Mon Apr 01, 2013 11:06 pm
