Please provide us more information on the following components of your email environment:

Name of the Operating System (And Kernel version if Unix)
Name of the SMTP server and version
Name of the POP3/IMAP server and version
Squirrelmail version

We will try to configure Yubico PAM module accordingly to provide log-in through squirrelmail with Yubikey two factor authentication and will upload the sample configuration along with test cases once we successfully test it.

Been a long time since I used squirrelmail... But couldn't you use PAM authentication (for which there is already yubikey support)

What would be the simplest way to authenticate to a squirrelmail web mail system using a Yubikey?

I am hoping somebody has already written the Squirrelmail plug-in to save me the time ?
