thanks for the link giving more insight.

But in my case it was an old library.
I was running libyubikey0 version 1.10 and python-yubico 1.2.1.
After upgrading from the ppa to libyubikey0 1.13 and python-yubico 1.2.3 everything worked as expected.

I have a Yubikey Edge (USB ID 1050:0403).
I am running Ubuntu 14.04 LTS.

Unfortunately the Yubikey is not detected.

Yubikey core error: no yubikey present

-> no Yubikey inserted


Is there still a magic udev rule, that needs to be applied?
