Found a resolution. There are additional dependencies required in 16.04 that PIV manager does not call out.

Per http://stackoverflow.com/a/26955537, install python-pkg-resources:

pivman now launches as expected.

The Yubikey PIV Manager does not launch when ran on a fresh install of Ubuntu 16.04 x64 (install from iso, add yubico/stable ppa, install yubikey-piv-manager). Upon install, clicking the icon in Dash to launch the app will show the flashing icon of an app starting... but after a few seconds, it closes without showing any GUI.

The personalization gui runs as expected, and the yubikey-piv-tool commandline app appears to function as well. Both recognize my yubikey device.

Anyone have luck getting it to launch/display? I am using an AMD GPU with the new drivers packaged with 16.04, if that perhaps matters.
