Yes, no issues. Slot 1 and Slot 2 are separate from U2F, PIV, OpenPGP, and Yubico Authenticator.
Statistics: Posted by ChrisHalos — Tue May 31, 2016 8:52 pm

I just went for it and tried. It appears the following is possible as i have it working:

1) Static pasword in slot 1.
2) HMAC-SHA1 in slot 2 for Windows/Mac login.
3) U2F still working in Chrome. Appears like this is separate from the "slots" mentioned above.
Statistics: Posted by maciekish — Thu May 26, 2016 1:53 pm

Hi,
I want to put a static password in configuration slot 1. Will this disable the U2F functionality in Chrome or can they coexist?

Edit: To expand the question, can i have U2F working with static password in slot 1 and HMAC-SHA1 in slot 2 or is that 1 feature too many?

What i want is U2F for services that support it, quick legacy password login for sites that don't support it and finally log in to my Mac using the HMAC-SHA1. Can it be done with one Yubikey 4?

Thanks
Maciej
Statistics: Posted by maciekish — Wed May 25, 2016 3:53 pm
