There is U2F addon for Firefox now: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefo ... rt-add-on/

It works for Yubikey demo page, reportedly also for Github.

I've tried it for Google account 2-factor auth, but the login page won't give me any option to use U2F in Firefox despite the plugin. It seems google has whilelist of browsers (Chrome) that it shows the U2F screen to. Maybe it could be forced mucking with user agent string.
Statistics: Posted by hiviah — Wed Nov 11, 2015 3:04 pm

A year later, and U2F is still not supported in Firefox.
A few service providers have stated (some publicly https://lastpass.com/support.php?cmd=showfaq&id=8126) that they will not implement U2F until Firefox supports it.

Adoption of this standard may not pick up momentum until this issue is resolved.

While reviewing the bug entry https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1065729 for U2F implementation, I noticed that a BountySource campaign had been created, and have made a pledge. It may be the only way of accelerating development of this feature, so check it out if it interests you.
Statistics: Posted by gadget — Tue Oct 27, 2015 1:55 pm

(you know what happens whn you assume though- lol....)

being an open standard- who knows when apple might get around to it if ever. They love to make their own way.

Haven't seen anything official from mozilla/firefox but i didn't look too hard honestly.
Statistics: Posted by michaelk — Thu Oct 23, 2014 8:01 pm
