From the console log I could see that I had other 3rd party drivers installed from previous work with smartcards. I manually removed all of these and it all worked.

I now have a different issue but I will start a new thread for that.

I love the idea of the yubikey, but you make it so hard.

This setup has worked (once) but has stopped and I can't get it to work on gpg.

Here is the key installed:

$ opensc-tool -l
# Detected readers (pcsc)
Nr. Card Features Name
0 Yes Yubico Yubikey NEO OTP+CCID 00 00

All of the Yubikey tools work fine (Mgmt and personalisation)

The only thing that doesn't work is gpg (although it did once)
$ gpg --card-status
gpg: selecting openpgp failed: Card error
gpg: OpenPGP card not available: Card error

From console:
06/04/2015 10:21:15.157 com.apple.SecurityServer[15]: reader Yubico Yubikey NEO OTP+CCID 00 00 removed token "PIV_II" (xx) subservice 4
06/04/2015 10:21:21.881 com.apple.SecurityServer[15]: reader Yubico Yubikey NEO OTP+CCID 00 00 inserted token "PIV_II" (xx) subservice 4 using driver com.apple.tokend.opensc

Any clues on how to get this working?
