However for building an authenticator app we need to be able to talk to the smartcard applet on the NEO which was not doable last time we checked.

I made the suggestion on the MS site as you suggested. Just letting you know, the Yubico Neo works on the Lumina 925 with Lastpass using NFC.

Please contact Microsoft and suggest to update their NFC API, we have been waiting as well.

Is there a similar Yubico Authenticator app available in WP? If not, are there any other options, like a Windows 8 version, other than having to keep an Android device with me?
