We don't offer firmware field upgrade of Yubikeys. The goal is to keep the firmware stable, validated and bug-free.

For the existing R1 Yubikey, we plan to release small incremental feature upgrades based on customer feedback twice a year or so.

Unless the upgrade is due to a critical bug fix, we cannot unfortunately provide replacements for existing key owners.

are the keys firmware flashable or are the two keys i got friday pretty much obsolete already?

Forgive me if this was already answered - but how does one set or clear the OTP bit on the V1.3 keys (to go from OTP to random mode and back)
