From the description provided by you it seems that you have set configuration protection password aka access code for your YubiKey.

For security reasons and for avoiding accidental reprogramming, YubiKeys can be protected using configuration protection password. If the configuration protection password is set, you can not reprogram the YubiKey unless the correct configuration protection password is supplied during reprogramming.

If you want to clear the the configuration stored in YubiKey or want to reprogram it you need to provide the correct configuration protection password. There is no way other than providing the correct configuration protection password if you have set one and now want to reprogram your YubiKey.
Statistics: Posted by samir — Thu May 13, 2010 11:07 am
